A View From A Lake — Poem

A view from a lake
iridescent and awake
from where you can read
all the pages you pretend you undid
Pained by the thorns on your path
burdening the aftermath
A wish that the flowing waters
Might pluck the continuing disorders

And yet the view hither is so pure
you could grasp the unsure,
still wondering why
it feels like goodbye
