Because Love Means Everything

After the dreadful events that affected my city, I can only think of the innocent lives that have been taken, just like it happened in Beirut three days ago and on a day-to-day basis in the Middle East. These petrifying episodes taking place all over the world are truly saddening. There are still so many injustice actions in our 21st century world, although right now I’m not willing to write a political piece.

All I am thinking about right now is love. I’m so grateful that we, human beings, were endowed with such a great capacity for love despite all the flaws mankind may own. Because I believe, and I know, that love prevails. And it means everything. Some people will obviously call me naive, but I will remain a firm believer. I do have hope for a brighter future. He put us here, on Earth, knowing that somehow we would succeed in walking hand in hand.

I still have hope that all the storms we have been through, and those that unfortunately might be coming, will strengthen our relationship with one another. I believe that this will forge an unbreakable bond between us all. I do believe in this future.

I can only see love, no matter how blurred some seem to perceive it.

Still stunned by the last happenings, the wholehearted dedications make me feel that humanity must be cherished. And from where I stand, humanity is a synonym for love. That’s all we ought to do while we are here. We shall not aspire to a loving and peaceful world. We have the power to make it happen. Only us can take that responsibility, for ourselves and for generations to come. This will rise from the tiniest moves, whether it be a meaningful smile or a heartfelt conversation. We can climb those steps, together, hand in hand. We can make this world a better place, and thus we shall stop merely dreaming about it in oder to take action.

Despite the sorrow and disgust encountered through such events, while standing up we shall think with our heart and not forget that we have still so much to be thankful for, and things to keep fighting for. Reasonably, we shall be hopeful that « even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise ». None of this ends here.

For tonight, I’ll be praying for all of this — for what I believe in.

Let me leave you with some inspiring words from a wonderful being:
